Notice of Event: Special Supplementary Session of the Kan’ei Culture Lecture“Briefing Session on the Reenactment Procession of the Kan’ei Gyoko”(December 6, 2025)

As part of the Kan’ei Gyoko 400th Anniversary Commemoration, a reenactment procession recreating the Kan’ei Gyoko—one of the largest-scale events of the Edo period—is scheduled to take place on December 6, 2026.

In advance of this event, a “Briefing Session on the Reenactment Procession of the Kan’ei Gyoko” will be held to provide detailed information on the procession’s content and participation procedures.

The briefing will begin with an explanation of the historical background of the Kan’ei Gyoko itself, followed by an overview of the procession route, its structure, and the ceremonial costumes, as well as guidance on how to participate.
The session is designed not only for those interested in joining the procession or considering participation, but also for anyone with a general interest in history and culture.
We warmly invite you to attend.
