“Nijō-jō Gyoko-zu Byōbu” (Folding Screen Depicting the Imperial Visit to Nijo Castle), from the Sen-oku Hakuko Kan Museum, is currently entered in the “Museum Eto Collection Award 2026,” being held on IM [Internet Museum], a comprehensive online platform for museums, exhibitions, and the arts.
The year 2026 marks the 400th anniversary of the Kan’ei Gyoko (Imperial Visit to Nijo Castle in 1626) and is the Year of the Horse. Visitors are encouraged to pay special attention to the horses depicted within the folding screen. Voting is open until January 23, 2026.
