Explore the history of Nijo Castle from its construction to the present day through an illustrated talk, followed by a guided tour of the castle led by the lecturer.
The talk will feature rarely seen materials, including documents from the early Meiji period when Nijo Castle served as the Kyoto Prefectural Government Office, as well as historic photographs presented in a slide presentation. During the tour, participants will also have the opportunity to visit the West Gate, which is normally closed to the public.
