Maeda Coffee’s Museum of Kyoto branch, located inside the Museum of Kyoto, is offering special collaboration products to commemorate the Kan’ei Gyoko 400th Anniversary Festival.

Kan’ei Gyoko × Maeda Coffee Latte
A limited-time latte featuring latte art with the Japanese characters for “Kan’ei Gyoko.”
Kan’ei Gyoko × Maeda Coffee Dashimaki Tamago Sandwich (3°)
The “three-degree deviation” is also incorporated into the official logo of the Kan’ei Gyoko 400th Anniversary Festival.
When viewed on a map, Nijo Castle is positioned at an angle of three degrees east of the north–south axis in relation to the Kyoto Imperial Palace. This distinctive alignment inspired the “three-degree deviation” featured in the festival’s logo.
This special sandwich features fluffy dashimaki tamago (Japanese rolled omelet made with dashi broth), presented in a unique arrangement inspired by the three-degree deviation. Be sure to take a closer look at its creative presentation!
The special exhibition “Kan’ei: The Art Nurtured by an Age of Peace” is also currently being held at the Museum of Kyoto, through Sunday, November 15.
After enjoying the exhibition, we invite you to visit Maeda Coffee’s Museum of Kyoto branch and experience another taste of the Kan’ei era, while reflecting on the history of Kyoto 400 years ago.
