In addition, a new project will launch on August 20. Four hundred years ago, Tokugawa Iemitsu traveled from Edo to Kyoto for the Kan’ei Gyoko. Now, four centuries later, a plush figure inspired by Iemitsu’s “yuru-e” (informal, freely drawn portrait) will retrace his journey to Kyoto along the route he once traveled.
We hope you will look forward to this project as well!
