On Friday, August 21, Executive Producer Kanako Hamasaki gave a special lecture on the Kan’ei Gyoko 400th Anniversary Festival at Kyoto Asny.
The lecture drew an audience of some 350 people, filling the venue. Many listened attentively while viewing the presentation on screen and taking notes. For the speaker as well, the 90-minute session offered a renewed sense of the strong interest in the Kan’ei Gyoko and Kan’ei Culture.
The Kan’ei Gyoko 400th Anniversary Festival has attracted interest from many people not only in Kyoto, but from across Japan. Through exhibitions, cultural lectures, and a wide variety of other events, we are delighted to share with everyone the appeal of the Kan’ei Gyoko of four centuries ago and the culture that flourished in its wake.
