On September 3, Keihan Holdings Co., Ltd. and Keihan Electric Railway Co., Ltd. announced a series of initiatives commemorating the 400th anniversary of the Kan’ei Gyoko. These include the publication of a pamphlet introducing sites associated with Kan’ei Culture along the Keihan Railway lines, as well as the launch of a dedicated website.
Beginning Monday, September 14, trains displaying a special headmark commemorating the 400th anniversary of the Kan’ei Gyoko will also enter service.
Sites associated with Kan’ei Culture can still be found throughout the areas served by Keihan Railway. With the pamphlet and website as your guides, we invite you to enjoy a journey through the history and culture of four centuries ago.
