Wu Chun-Yi (吳俊毅) began the stamp rally in mid-July. He happened to pick up a stamp rally sheet at Shimogamo Shrine and stamped it there, which inspired him to begin the challenge.
From then on, he collected stamps nearly every weekend. After contacting us to let us know that he had visited all of the stamp rally locations, we recently had the opportunity to speak with him.
“The stamps were not only in central Kyoto but in many different places, so collecting them was sometimes challenging. But it gave me the chance to visit all sorts of places, and looking back, I think it was a very rewarding experience,” Wu said.
He smiled for a commemorative photograph with the special completion-edition goshuin-style castle seal he received for finishing the rally.
