Shogoin Monzeki Temple, the head temple of the Honzan Shugendo Buddhist tradition, will hold its Special Autumn Opening on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from today, October 10, through Sunday, December 6.
This special opening offers visitors an opportunity to explore the history of Shogoin, a temple with deep ties to the Imperial family, and discover the rich culture that flourished during the Kan’ei era, 400 years ago.
